Cosplay Central Crown Championship 2026

In November of 2025, I qualified as the Nordic representative for the Cosplay Central Crown Championship with my Sister Lidwin cosplay from Baldur’s Gate 3. And this May, I became the global Crown Champion of 2026 at MCM London.

I can’t help but think back to when I began competing regularly in late 2021. I had lost most of my inspiration to cosplay in the early days of the pandemic, so it felt like a way to return to the hobby. At that point, I had been cosplaying for 10 years and eagerly following the talented cosplayers in the Danish community, but I never considered myself good enough. Self-worth is a fickle thing. I won best prop that year, but more importantly, it brought me back into the community and I recieved some feedback that I’ve carried with me into every cosplay since: intention matters. Show your intention even in the tiniest details. 

We, team Nordics, travelled to London on Friday of the convention and arrived just in time for the introduction evening in the cosplay lounge. The biggest gift of competing internationally has definitely been getting to meet so many incredible people from all around the world. I cannot emphazize enough how every single competitor contributed in making this event special with their kindness, passion and incredible skill. Everyone had brought trinkets and treats from their countries that we shared before we had to head back to our hotels to prepare for competition day. You will find every representative listed below as well as the official recording of the stage presentation. We were treated to a masterful panel of judges, and I felt safe and comfortable. It was truly an honor to be judged by people I look up to for their craftmanship: Nerds Gone Mild Cosplay,  Hench and Hoku Props made me feel seen, and they examined every single layer of my passion project during pre-judging. Without the hard work of organizers, we cosplayers wouldn’t have events like these. 

 I don’t want to paint a rosy picture where every competition experience will be perfect. It is physically demanding to be wearing a costume for 10-12 hours, and it can feel like an emotional rollercoaster. However, I wouldn’t be without those thrilling rides. The social and creative value that competing has brought me by far outweighs the few negative experiences I’ve had these past few years.  I’m beyond grateful for all the love and support that has come my way since this experience. I quite honestly still can’t believe it was real. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
