Yasha Nydoorin - Critical Role

When the concept designs for the second campaign of Critical Role were released, I knew I had to cosplay Yasha. Cosplaying her has lead to me meeting so many wonderful people – not to mention that I met Matt Mercer while wearing this costume.

I made the cloak with a piece of spare wool and faux fur from my material stash. The fur was originally gray with black tips, and I dyed it using thinned out acrylic paint in 3 nuances of blue and black, that I sprayed onto it. All the belts were made in black pleather and I created the stormlord buckle using EVA foam and worbla. The leggins were bought and dyed by me. The bodice and bracer/glove were all made in the same faux suede and I have a step-for-step tutorial for the bodice here.

The showcase video below was a collaboration with my friend and photographer Rebecca Lyhne.  Vibe / Vanellus Cosplay assisted on the shoot and played the role of Zuala.
