Right after the Critical Role animated show aired, I went fabric shopping and the perfect fabrics for Vex’s gown appeared right in front of me. How could I not take that opportunity?

The costume consists of a bodice, skirt, sleeves/gloves and a necklace which I modelled and 3D printed in resin. The golden details varies a little from frame to frame, so I simply adapted the pattern to my taste. To challenge myself (and use some of the many materials in my workspace), I decided to bead the costume around the golden trim. Applying my own take to a design is something I really enjoy. It was also my first time beading a costume, and it definitely won’t be the last.
