There are many different takes on Taako the Wizard from the podcast “The Adventure Zone”, and I wanted to do my own version of this colorful character. 

When I was settling on a design, part of the challenge I set for myself was to primarily use materials that were thrifted or from my stash.  While I was sketching out ideas, I saw a photo of a sheer jumpsuit that Lorde wore on one of her tours, and I knew I had to make something in the same style. 

The costume consist of a sparkly purple leotard, an over-sized sheer jumpsuit and a pleather corset. The big wizard hat was made from velvet, cotton and thrifted chains. My Bureau of Balance bracer was made out of EVA foam and worbla, and painted with a chrome spray. The ears are from MadHouse FX on Etsy.
