This Scanlan costume is based on the outfit he wears in episode 3 of the 1st season of The Legend of Vox Machina. I decided to take some liberties with the design and make a trunk hose instead of the regular trousers. I also ended up working with lots of different textures in my version. One of my favorite things about cosplays based on characters from Actual Play TTRPG-shows is the freedom to make a design your own. And that’s exactly what I did.

Just before I started this project, I was gifted a lot of second hand purple velvet. This cosplay was the perfect choice to use it for. Overall this costume consists mainly of reused materials like the shoes, wig, hair for the sideburns and fabric from my stash. The only purchased things were rhinestones, boot cover fabric and the shiny coat lining.
