Like many kids, Princess Leia was one of my childhood movie heroes and this costume was a bit of a dream come true. I made it in 2016 and one of the best resources I found back then was The Padawan’s Guide. It’s the perfect place to find references and exhibition photos of the costumes from the prequels and original trilogy!

I made my version of the dress in 2 layers of stretch fabric to avoid translucency and installed a zipper in the back. The belt was created from white leather and the silver details were made using worbla and buttons. The wig was a long brown lacefront, twisted and pinned into the iconic buns.
