This Minako uniform from Sailor Moon was a quick and kind of rejuvenating project for me. While I’ve had a soft spot for magical girls since I was a teen, I had never actually cosplayed one until I made this costume.

Since 2021, I have made it my goal to use as many resources from my collection of materials instead of buying new things for cosplay. All the fabric for this costume came from my stash and I reused my trusty pair of black platform heels. You can spot those in a lot of my cosplays. I only ended up having to buy a wig, a clip for the bow and a pair of socks. Overall a pretty inexpensive and simple costume to make. And it’s the perfect comfortable cosplay to wear at a convention. I’d call that a win!
